Smith Health TV is operated by Smith App Studio LLC. If you have a question about anything on this page, write to smithappsupport@gmail.com.

Right now this site does one thing: it accepts applications for a channel. If you do not submit an application, we do not collect anything about you beyond ordinary server logs.

When you apply, you give us: your name, email address, an optional phone number, your profession or specialty, your credential type, your licence number and licensing state, your practice or organization name, an optional website, a rough audience size, a description of what you would like to teach, and how you heard about us.

We also record a one-way salted hash of your IP address and your browser's user-agent string. The hash cannot be reversed into an IP address. It exists so that we can spot automated abuse of the form, and nothing else.

This is the most sensitive thing we ask for, so it gets its own section.

We collect your licence number for exactly one purpose: to confirm that the credential you claim is real, current, and in good standing with the board that issued it. That verification is what makes the network worth being part of.

Your licence number is never published. It never appears on your channel. It is deliberately excluded from the notification emails our system generates, so that it does not sit in an email inbox in plain text. It is stored on your application record, which is reachable only by the review team through an authenticated console.

We do not sell it, share it with advertisers, or pass it to third parties. If your application is declined and you ask us to delete your record, the licence number goes with it.

We process this information because you asked us to consider your application, and because we have a legitimate interest in verifying the credentials of people who broadcast health information to the public. You can withdraw at any time by asking us to delete your application.

Our hosting runs on Vercel. Application records are stored with Supabase. Email is sent through Resend. Automated abuse protection on the form is provided by Cloudflare Turnstile. Each of these providers processes data on our instructions in order to run the service.

We do not sell personal information. We do not share application data with advertisers. We have no advertising trackers on this site.

Approved applications are kept for as long as the channel exists, because they are the record of the verification behind the badge.

Declined and withdrawn applications are kept for up to twelve months so that we can answer questions about a decision, then deleted. You can ask us to delete yours sooner.

You can ask for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email smithappsupport@gmail.com and we will action it. Depending on where you live you may have additional statutory rights, and we will honour them regardless of where you live.

This site is for licensed professionals and health organizations. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

If we change this policy in a way that affects how we handle applications already submitted, we will email the address on the application rather than quietly updating this page.
